As soon as I see Halloween and fall decor in my favorite stores, I know it’s time to start thinking about re-adjusting my wardrobe and transitioning from fun summer outfits to cozy and comfy fall clothes. Of course, living in Arizona, it is a bit tough to wear a sweater or boots when it’s still triple digits or even above 90 degrees through September, but I’ve been living here long enough to know that it’s generally accepted and actually celebrated when you start pulling out your booties and cardis, wearing lots of cognac colored accessories and embracing the Fall season!

I have a long “transition period” here in Arizona, it generally doesn’t start to get “cool” (think, 80’s or below) until mid-late October, and maybe at night in the 70’s! Oh my, so chilly!!! [insert sarcasm].

I recently did a fun Amazon try-on at home (please ignore my bedroom, we’re in the middle of redecorating) and couldn’t bare to do the try-on outside for obvious sweltering reasons.

Favorite Fall Booties

Booties are a great transition shoe from summer to fall, and open-toe booties are perfect too, giving you a little breathing room, remembering you still have a pedicure you want to show off and showing some ankle in cropped jeans or leg with skirts and dresses. I have a TON of booties! I wear these deep into November / December due to AZ weather, but man do I love all of the different styles!

Fall Transition Tops

When in doubt, layer. Inside it might be freezing, outside, it might be hot, be prepared. In the fall, I love layering a comfy cardigan or jacket over a tank or button down. Also, off the shoulder and drapey tops are some of my favorite all-time go-to’s. I love them so much that I have a few of the same ones from Amazon in different colors! I’m also branching out and trying new styles, but if you want tops that will go with anything, look great on all shapes, curves, etc, dress up or down. These are it!

Fall Accessories

I’ve always been a big fan of hats, so it makes me so happy to see these beautiful fedoras and wide brim hats are still in this season. I don’t get to wear them as often, since I’m working in an office most days, but whenever I get the chance, you’ll see me sporting a fun hat! This wool wide brim is from Amazon and a total dupe for the Nordstrom hat at a fraction of the price! I need this in black!!!
