Do you get sale-scared? Overwhelmed by huge sales? Yeah, me too.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is probably one of the biggest, if not best, sales event outside of Black Friday. Take it from me, a professional retail marketer, I know the tricks and strategies that these stores and brands use to get consumers in the doors and shopping online for their big sales. Even after working in the PR and Marketing industry in consumer retail for over 12 years, I get sucked in, because I’m such a consumer and LOVE shopping, especially at Nordstrom!
There are a couple of tricks and tips that you can use to overcome the overwhelming feeling a sale like this brings. I get it! I shared a little bit of my perspective on my Instagram Stories @diapers.n.deadlines so you can check it out in my “Style Highlights.”
Can we talk about Nordstrom as a brand? I’ve always referenced them as my FAVORITE brand that embodies their mission through a phenomenal customer experience in store, online and over the phone. I personally just love the walk-around the counter handing-over-your-shopping-bag-move. Something about that small move really makes a customer feel special and it’s what got me hooked as a loyal customer, card-holder and if I had a choice, would go to Nordy’s before any other department store first.
I’m also kind of obsessed with their Home department (not because it’s next to their cafe… don’t get me started on my favorite salad EVER!) But this SUPER soft and fluffy blush pink heart shaped pillow {now sold out!} was calling my name (maybe I’ll let my daughter have it but we’ll see…)
Now, let’s get to my top picks for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale {2019}
Below are my favorite Home Decor picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
I’m updating and sharing my favorite picks over the next week! Don’t forget, Early Access start on Friday 7/12!!!
Would love to know what you’re looking for this season… I know I’ve got my eyes on some knee high boots for the Fall!
** Updated as of 7/16/19**
When I was getting ready to go into the store on Friday, I knew I had to have a plan. There are items that you just HAVE to try on, and others that you can get away with ordering online. So here was my game plan:
- Shoe Department: first stop (bring your list in hand, printed out or saved in your online cart like I did) this way, you can help the store associate out by being decisive, straight to the point and make your decision quickly. I personally wanted leopard platform sneakers and cognac suede booties, and came home with the perfect ones!
- Athleisure + Intimates Department: I went there next to try on some Zella yoga pants, and I’m a solid Medium, so glad I tried on! Grabbed a hoodie while I was there because I can’t find my go-to (probably lost in my car somewhere… #momproblems).
- Handbags + Accessories Department: I could have seriously stayed here all day, but I had a budget and list to stick with. I LOVELOVELOVE the Madewell Suede Stripe Leather tote bag in cognac (and yes, I got the LAST one in the Scottsdale Nordstrom, so it made me feel even more like I CONQUERED the #NSale!
Since the sale still is on and goes until August 4, I might be popping online to check if any of the Barefoot Dreams blankets come back, and I’m dying for a Brixton fedora, but I snagged a dupe from Amazon Prime Day here!
xoxo, Lauren
